In its continued mission to prioritise worker welfare while championing sustainability, AP Aras Baru has unveiled a new series of environmentally friendly dormitory buildings designed to house contract workers with both comfort and conscience in mind.
Strategically located to support industrial zones and employment hubs, the new dormitories are more than just accommodation — they are part of AP Aras Baru’s broader vision of sustainable workforce management. Each building is equipped with solar panels on its roof, reducing reliance on conventional electricity and cutting down overall carbon emissions. This initiative supports Malaysia’s clean energy goals and reflects AP Aras Baru’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values.
Beyond renewable energy integration, the dormitories were constructed with sustainability in focus—from energy-efficient lighting and water-saving fixtures to proper ventilation systems that enhance indoor air quality while reducing cooling demands. Workers living in the dormitories will also have to follow recycling and waste management procedures. The design also takes into account worker wellbeing, offering clean, safe, and well-managed spaces that comply with national housing regulations and health standards.
The new dormitories will also feature a built-in ‘Green Garden’, which is a garden area built and nurtured to further promote eco-friendly infrastructure.
